MAPPinfo – A Checklist for the Assessment of Evidence-based Health Information
MAPPinfo (“Mapping the Quality of Health Information”) is a scientifically validated checklist for assessing the quality of health information.
Using the MAPPinfo checklist, the criteria of the Evidence-Based Health Information guideline can be reviewed. If these criteria are met, it can be assumed that the health information generally complies with the requirements of the guideline. This makes it possible to evaluate health information on a scientific basis, identify reliable content, and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of individual information materials.
The checklist can be used without any special prior knowledge and is therefore suitable for anyone who wishes to assess the quality of health information.
